Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am currently in-network with most commercial insurance carriers, including Anthem, United Healthcare, Humana, Aetna, Cigna, and Medical Mutual. I do not accept Medicaid or Medicare plans at this time.
How often do we meet and for how long?
I generally recommend meeting weekly at the start of treatment and then adjusting session frequency as needed from there. Treatment duration is determined on a case-by-case basis.
How much does it cost?
If using insurance, the cost of sessions depends on your plan's deductible or copay amount. If paying out of pocket, the initial diagnostic assessment is $160; 60-minute follow-up sessions are $140 (prorated).
What if I need to cancel?
Please notify me by phone or email at least 24 hour hours in advance if you need to cancel for any reason. There is a $65 fee for same-day cancellations and no-shows.
How long are sessions?
Appointments are typically one hour long, although this may vary according to individual needs/preferences and can be negotiated at the outset or at any point throughout the course of treatment.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
In addition to a full diagnostic assessment, the first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, determine whether we are a good fit, and develop initial treatment goals.
